Charity Golf Events 2010

Junior Golf Foundation Coaching Week.

• Alliss Promotions run a Golf Foundation Coaching Week, this year from Tuesday 27 to Friday 30 July, at St Edmund's School, Hindhead, Surrey for all children aged 9 to 13.
• Included are four days of tuition by two local Professional Golfers, games and competitions, and we pride ourselves that all our participants leave having had fun, and with a greatly enhanced understanding of the game.
• This coaching week is primarily for boys and girls who go to local schools in the area, and places are limited. Beginners are very welcome, we supply golf clubs where required. The cost is £100.

In aid of the Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation, a Celebrity Golf Event at the Wiltshire Golf and Country Club, near Swindon. Cost for a team of three (we will provide a celebrity to make up teams of four) on application.

• This event is now in its 4th year, following three previous very successful events. Sunday evening includes a superb dinner and celebrity speakers, with a Stableford 4-ball golf competition on Monday, followed by prize-giving.
• The Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation was set up by David Nicholls (corporate Director for Food & Beverage at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, London), following a swimming accident to his son. This foundation raises funds to expand spinal injury research and development, encourage stem cell research and surgery and promote post-cure rehabilitation. The event is supported by Eddy and Jennifer Shah.

Salterns Alliss Merlo Pro-Celebrity Golf Tournament, Ferndown Golf Club

• One of our most popular events, now in its 24th year, raising funds for powered wheelchairs for young people.

The Prostate Project Golf Day at Hindhead Golf Club, Surrey. Teams of four, £500 per team.

• Now in its 11th year, following the previous ten successful, fun-filled golf events, we would be delighted to welcome new teams of 4 to join our regular supporters to see if we can break our fundraising record. It's a great day at one of Surrey's finest courses, and includes a bacon 'butty' breakfast, 18 holes of Stableford competition, an excellent 3 course lunch, prize giving and auction.
• Over the years this event has raised many thousands of pounds for the Prostate Project. The charity supports local hospitals by funding facilities for the detection and treatment of prostate cancer, plus improving awareness and understanding of the disease in the community and funding a major clinical research programme.

Antequera Golf Tournament, Antequera, Malaga, Spain.

Jackie Alliss of Alliss Promotions and Rodrigo Villegas of Andalucia Golf will be hosting and running a further Golf Tournament in beautiful Antequera this year, towards the end of the golfing season in October. We feel it will be something just that bit special to look forward to, 'extending' the summer a little! Antequera is up in the hills approximately 35 miles west of Malaga airport. The golf course is stunning, a challenge and great fun to play. There is plenty to do for accompanying non-golfers. This will be a relaxing short break, designed for fun and friendship. It is open to all handicap golfers, and the package per person includes:

• 3 nights bed and breakfast in shared (double/twin) accommodation at the 4* Hotel Antequera Golf.
• 3 rounds of golf (day 1 practice round, days 2 & 3 tournament), 1 buggy shared between 2 people.
• Barbecue at the Golf Course on Day 2.
• Prize-giving Dinner at the unique 5* Hotel Convento La Magdalena on Day 3.
• Inclusive cost £350 p.p. for golfers, £220 for accompanying non-golfers. This does not include air fares or taxi/car hire; we can advise on car hire if required. The evening on day 1 is free to enjoy as you please.

Lady Taverners - Jackie Alliss Celeb-Am Golf Day, The Berkshire Golf Club, Ascot

• This Lady Taverners' annual golfing event raises funds for minibuses for disabled children.
• It is a mixed competition, 4-ball Stableford format, we have a shotgun start with a late lunch and prizegiving. Ladies who love golf, come and join us, teams or individually.

Alliss Challenge Celebrity Golf Day Old Thorns Golf & Country Estate, near Liphook, Hampshire. £500 per team of three (we will provide a Celebrity to make up teams of four).

• This event has been running for some 25 years, the last four in this format. In 2009 Peter Alliss was joined by sons Simon and Henry, and grandson Craig Alliss, who is the fourth generation of Alliss professional golfers. They CAN be beaten, so why not come along and enjoy this hugely popular event! You provide a team of 3, we add a celebrity to make up teams of four for a Stableford competition. The day includes breakfast, 18 holes of keen competition, a delicious meal after play, speeches and prize-giving. A wonderful day out.
